Hillsborough Disaster inquest jury announce their verdict

On 15th April 1989 the UK witnesses our worst sporting tragedy which was broadcast across the television screens for everyone to see. 96 football fans who has been watching the match were killed in a crush and in the years following it was unclear exactly what had led to this disaster. 


The inquest has found that the 96 football fans who died on April 15 1989 at Hillsborough stadium were unlawfully killed.
